Trust Continues…

1-5-08

“Seek first His Kingdom and his righteousness and all these things will be given to you.” Do not worry about tomorrow; for tomorrow will worry about itself each day has enough trouble of its own.” (Matthew 6:33-34). This is big for me because I am so impatient. If I obey (seek ye first the Kingdom of heaven and his righteousness then I trust. With trust comes faith inside-out. I can’t worry what tomorrow brings I have to live from day to day. Keep the Faith that God will make everything alright. I must remember things happen for a reason and a season. No matter what happens it is in his divine plan. I know there is purpose for my life and I have to follow the path not always travel (living familiar to the unfamiliar) and put my hand in the hand of the man who stills the waters and calms the sea. Who take a Man from poverty (My Father) and have him make history And be a very important force in many people’s life. If he did it for him I know he can do something for me.

Trust

Some People have told me that I am very brave when I just up and moved to NYC. Not knowing what was in store for me. I knew I could do it. You know why I could ….because of Trust. Like Abraham, with little money and no place of my own I move to an unfamiliar place. Risky, yes, BUT God said he will never leave me nor forsake me when I lean on him only. Moving to NYC is not the first “Risky” thing I’ve done. I must trust in the Lord with all my heart and lean not on my own understanding in all (my) ways acknowledge him, and he will make (my) path straight (direct my paths). Proverbs 3:5-6.
Trust and Obey go hand and hand. If you obey His Word, you trust what he says He will do. I trust God’s will and he will bring me into Greatness. I am Greatness. God is blessing me everyday. He is a mighty God and I have to hold to the covenant I made with Him. “Teach us to number our days aright, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. (Psalm 90:12).

Get Wisdom At All Cost

As I Read Proverbs, I’m reminded of how direr it is that we get/have wisdom. We must have wisdom so we know how to live right in God’s sight. First we must start with “the Fear of the Lord.”
What is the Fear of the Lord?
*Doing his will,
*Following His Word
*Obeying his commandments.

Basically it is having a Close Relationship the Lord.
How do we do this?

One: Read the Word Daily. What you read in the Word might not be necessarily used right away. It is used for guidance that will help us with situations to come. I am excited to what the Lord is going to teach me today! I must maintain this desire so I can grow in the Lord. And it will help me to “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. Because “He is doing a new thing in my life…I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. (Isaiah 43: 18-19). Proverbs 1:8-19 reminds me to “beware of sinners Enticement.” They will (have) say pretty words but I must avoid them at all cost. As I read, God is opening my eyes to see what others enjoy and think of as bliss, turns me off. “He said like what I like and hate what I hate.

Fully Committed 1-1-08
For those who know me (St. John AME People) know I love to sing and hear the song "Fully committed" every since I was a child. The beginning words are "All that I am and all that I hope to be. All of my desires and all of my abilities. I'm fully committed to your will and to your way. I'll make the sacrifice to do what you ask of me. My loves for ever and Jesus you're all that I need. And I can never repay what you did just for me. I give my life fully committed to you."

Proverbs 1:7 "The Fear of the Lord is the Beginning of Knowledge."

It has been spoken over my life that 2008 is my year. I believe God has something’s in store that I can't even wrap my mind around. I will "Trust in the Lord with al my heart and lean not on MY OWN understanding and in all my ways acknowledge him." (Proverbs 3: 5-6. When the New Year comes around folks make resolutions...Well I vow to stop making promises I can't keep and start from the beginning "Fear of The Lord." I must do only his will. So therefore I must delete and keep out anything that is not of him (i.e. people, habits, hang ups, heart breaks) and I will always finish strong at the end of the day. My GOAL is to stay in the presence of the Lord. I will start off with the Lord and I will continue with Him. 2008- What's for me is for me because I am Fully Committed.

I am intrigued, curious and wanting more.

I have to get my dose of you.


You take my mind to places that I never imagine.


You have unlocked the desires that I longed for, that I kept safely in a vault far from he thieves of my insecurities.
I was intrigued....With the way you walk. The way you talk. The way you wear your clothes.


I had to know your name. You told me Love.


Are you sure I said?
I was curious...You have entered my space that has been filled with a void of loneliness.


Why are you here? Why have you disturbed my insanity?


I was just fine being alone. Now I can’t get you off my mind.


The question is: Will you let me in?


I’m not ready to give my heart. I'm not sure I want to take the time.


I'm not ready to be rejected again and again and again and again. I'm not ready to let ME go and to let Love grow.
I was wanting more....My curiosity have my mind pondering of what can be. May be. But I just can't let you in....But you inspire me...it is amazing how you have unlocked this feeling that have me reeling over you.


Who are you? Why are you here?


Can you Please Stop this emotional roller coaster of want & fear.


Fear and want. Fear of wanting to let go and let love...do its job.

Then the alarm clock rings and I awake. Time to stop living in a dream and get a life!

I will never forget what you've done for me. I will never forget how you set me free. I will look back on all you have done for me. If you did it once I know you will do it again. You prepared my way and made it light. You said that you will never leave me nor forsake me. You made away out of no way. I have faith that I will make it. I believe in your Word. I must live in it. Because you are preparing me for Greatness.

Look back and Run the distance. Keep my head up and never forget to look back.

What is this? I don't know. I ask myself over and over. I wanted someone to tell me Please. But all I hear is the echo of my own voice crying out.
Why does this always happen to me? Then I think why not. But over and over I contemplate my lifes worth. Don't know wheter to stop or to go. Then I tell myself Gurl quit trippin. So I shake it off.
And began to pray. Dear Lord, oh my heavenly father. I come to you pleading for another chance to start all over again. I'm tried of the way I am. I'm tried of all the pain. I just want to do your will, your way Lord Please come today. I need you right away. Please Help me today.
Then I heard, " My child I have always been here. You have another to fear. I just wanted you to let go of you will." I said Lord whatever you want me to do, I will do. He said that's all you have to do.
He will take me as I am. Take me because he first loved me.
And I said Dear Lord, oh my heavenly father. I come to you pleading for another chance to start all over again. I'm tried of the way I am. I'm tried of all the pain. I just want to do your will, your way Lord Please come today. I need you right away. Help me today.
You don't have to ask. I'll give you everything. Whatever you want. But give your life. all of it to me. Right away.
So I give you all of me. Because you are my everything. You took me as I am. Even when I've when I done so bad. Thank you for giving me a 2nd chance. I can't thank you enough. For now on. For now on!

People wonder why do some individuals go out their way to help me in my journey for the pursuit for greatness. The answer is simple! In Matthew 10:40 Jesus says, "He who receives you receives me and he who receives me receives the one who sent me." People that are willing to deposit in your life will be rewarded 10 folds more than what they gave. God gives favor to his people. He uses others as a vessel to open doors for me. These people recognize greatness when they see it. There are genuinely nice people in this world believe it or not who aren't just up for worldly gain. This is why I can't give up Ever. He said knock and the door shall be opened. I'm knocking and banging. It's time for God's favor. It's my time to be blessed. But I must take it to another level. All he wants for me to do is step in, have faith and KNOW he's going to move. I got to keep a Kingdom mindset!My prayer:Dear Lord, Kind Lord, Merciful Lord. I come asking for clarity of my spiritual mind. Not the physical. Open my spiritual eyes so I can see things your way ALWAYS. Grant me the understand of your Word daily. Lord you said you are going to move so I'm standing on your Word. I know greatness is around the corner. I may not have money or the jobs I need but they are there. I just can't get asset to these things right now. Lord I can't do anything without you. I just want to thank you for your grace and mercy for bring me thus far. Grant me newness in mind, body, spirit. Let old things be passed away. You are so great and greatly to be praised. I extol your name. I thank you for the great works now and forever. In your Holy son Jesus name I pray. Amen.

Experiencing the presence of the Holy Spirit is something you develop over time. He doesn't shout inside your head. He doesn't tell you when to turn when you're driving your car. He doesn't tick off a list of instructions for you every morning when you get out of bed. And yet he's there.

Christianity is a faith that we mature in, not spring into full-blown when we accept Christ as our savior. As you read and meditate on the Bible, pray, talk with other Christians, attend church, and read Christian books, the Holy Spirit and his wisdom will gradually take root in your life.

If you know me, you know that I'm not much of a writer. But all that has change. For the past 7 months I have been writing my book titled: My Thoughts: Part 2 of My Walk with God. Now I have decided to share what Miss Akia has created in her head. My Spirituality has moved to another level and as God strenghten me I have written things that My little mind never could conceive. I thought I never could write but God said otherwise.I have been pondering the meaning of the word Friend. This is the best time to post this Valentine's Day. (A day that we should have everyday!) I do not take that term lightly. Friendship has a lot attach to it emotionally, mentally, spiritually. Understand that EVERYONE can not be your friend. Like it or not. Everyone in your life should have a purpose.As Bishop Wayne R. Felton has taught me, There are 3 type of people you should have in you life:1. Mentor= Someones level you are trying to reach (Someone uplifting you)2. Someone on your level3. Someone you are uplifiting = Mentoree. If someone is pulling you down, deleted them ASAP. This is what I call the "Parasite Syndrome." They suck up all you energy and live you lifeless. THEY need you to survive. WARNING this is not a FRIEND!The song "I need you to survive" comes to mind: "I need you, you need me we are all apart of God's body. I need you to survive." The word survive is misleading. Survive = making do, get by. We need to do more than survive we must be more than conquerors. (STAY TUNE for my Survive segment for more info) So maybe we should say I need a shoulder, a ear to listen, hand to hold, someone to say "Get your self together." And Even though you haven't seen your friend in years, it's as if you just talked to them yesterday.A friend Walks beside you. "A real friend is one who walks in when the rest of the world walks out." In my business friends are few and you see true friends quickly. People are going use and abuse you. But staying lifted you will conquer it!God is so good that he is opening my eyes (spiritual and physical) to see the world plain and clearly now. But I still must becareful of the devil's OLD tricks, mind games, etc... I say this because in the past I have felt that no one loved me or cared for me. I felt that I had no one I could call on, a shoulder, a hand, a ear. No one to tell my troubles to. I felt alone. No one paid attention to me. No one knew. But now I know the mean of friend and who I am and who's I am. I no long feel that way."Friends are God's way of taking care of us."God puts people in our lives for a reason. So cherish every moment of the day. "Hold a true friend with both your hands." - Nigerian Proverb Like my father, the Wise Coach E. Fleming, always say, "You are who you hang with." You hang with a fool, You are a fool! We become like the friends we spend time with, then we must select our friends wisely. In my quest for knowledge and Understanding I found this

1. A desirable friend tells you the truth in love - “Faithful are the wounds of a friend, but the kisses of an enemy are deceitful” Proverbs 27:6

2. A desirable friend gives you sound advice - “Ointment and perfume delight the heart, and the sweetness of a man’s friend gives delight by hearty counsel” Proverbs 27:9

3. A desirable friend refines you - “ As iron sharpens iron, so a man sharpens the countenance of his friend” Proverbs 27:17

4. A desirable friend helps you grow in wisdom - “He who walks with wise men will be wise, but the companion of fools will be destroyed” Proverbs 13:20

5. A desirable friend stays close to you - “A man who has friends must himself be friendly, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother” Proverbs 18:24

6. A desirable friend loves you and stands by you - “A friend loves at all times, and brother is born for adversity” Proverbs 17:17

7. A desirable friend is a help in time of trouble - “ Two are better than one, because they have good reward for their labor. For if they fall , one will lift up his companion. But woe to him who is alone when he falls, for he has no one to help him up” Ecclesiastes 4:9-10"Sometimes God sends you to be a friend. and others times He sends someone to be your friend.

"Life can bring sadness or uncertainity at the most unexpected times. Facing adversity with strengths reclaimed in the confidence of others is true friendship.

I am taking a good look at myself seeing if I have been a true friend. If I haven't, God is a God of 2nd chances. This is my chances as well as yours to do his will! So becareful who you call friend! "The righteous should choose his friends carefully, for the way of the wicked leads them astray" - Proverbs 12:26

I haven't written a note in a while. This something I wrote 7 months ago. As I travel through this thing we call 'life', I have started over many times,well everyday for 12 years. We are granted new chances everyday and we must take fully advantage of that opportunity to start clean. As I take a journey of "purity in the Spirit," I have realized the importantance of deny the flesh completely. IT HAS BEEN a tough journey yet Im still holding on to his unchanging hand.

Here is some steps to help me Everyday

1. FAITH

2. PERSERVERANCE

3. DISCIPLINE (comes Wisdom and Understanding)

Faith= BelieveIf I believe, I will receive whatever I ask for in prayer. (Matt. 21:22)

Have a vision. WRITE THE VISION MY IT PLAIN. In his heart a man plans his course, but the Lord determines his steps. Without faith it is impossible to please God (Hebrew 11:6)

Perseverance

Do not lose Heart.

TESTING OF YOUR FAITH DEVELOPES PERSEVERANCE. (James 1:2)Perseverance must finish its work so that I may be mature and complete not lacking.

God hasn't given me a spirit of Fear, worry, failure but one of Victory, hope, faith. In my time here in New York City, it has be Stormy Weather. It Aint all glitter and lights! I have lived/will live in 4 Borros, worked all over Manhattan with crowds of thousands and thousands at once, had some good days and bad, drifting from place to place never knowing where I would live or eat, get money and this all within 9 months.

Through it all, I have learned to live day to day and lean on Jesus! Things have changed right before my eyes so quickly and extremely.I am told often that I will have a story to tell of how I made it over. Right now this is a rough draft. Now, you can't tell me that God isn't a working God. He has blessed me with favor on top of favor! He is separating me to elevate me. I am a victor and not a victim! New York City can be Rotten but it is one of Opportunity!! I am NYC by storm. Now I am being blessed left and right. I got a TESTimony. With out the Test you wouldn't be able to Show God's Goodness and his Glory! It is the Storm before the Story!God has and is placing people in my life to help elevate me. The things that are familiar are passing away and the new is being birth. I got to live for today...Today is a gift and we must live as so! Thanks to my Mother for her positivity. Speak life, think life and not death. I am a firm believer that Life and death lies in the power of the tongue!!!Thanks to my Daddy who taught me to be strong.Thanks Soror Brittany Davis and My LS Chrissy for all the inspiration you send daily, weekly, monthly. Keisha Latiimore, one of my Big sisters, for your love and kindness. My family for their love and support. The Beginning

This is my first posting since i decided to create a blog. I think this is a great way to document my thoughts I have written since 2004. I need to share my journey of getting closer to the LORD. To give my TESTimony to someone who may be going thur the same thing. This is the begining of the beginning of a Fresh start.

The word beginning means: the point at which something begins : start 2 : the first part .
